After studying under and postgraduate degree programmes at Edinburgh's Napier University, Alasdair moved between the cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, for work. It was around this time that he met his American partner, Leigh.

With American partner and Canadian flatmate in tow, the intrepid trio toured the length and breadth of this remarkable country a number of times, by rail, car and boat - making it all the way to the far north and out to the Islands of the North and West Coasts. They even started bagging the MunrosMunro: Mountain classification for mountains with elevations over 3000 feet. Over 280 in Scotland. Munro Bagging is the aim of climbing all the listed Munros.

...and a few years later Alasdair found himself living and working in Orlando, Florida.

You know the saying though - you can take the boy out of Scotland, but you can't stop him craving Haggis and Whisky.
